Hyderabad: A final year student at the College of Law, KL Deemed-to-be-University, Dr Rahul Shashank has developed a cybersecurity mobile application that offers digital security, in addition to offering features such as online complaint filing, internships and online consultations. , said a statement from KL Deemed-to-be-University.
The cyber alert app, available in English and Telugu, is simple, convenient, and helps users protect their digital identity, Shashank said.
Cyber alert app alerts users before they fall victim to cyber fraud, allows users to file cyber complaints, tracks their grievances, provides access to cybersecurity and cyber law related resources, includes list police stations with their GPS locations, has information on cybersecurity-related cybershops and workshops and guides users on using legal aid, according to a press release.

“Often, unauthorized access to private information goes undetected by users. The increase in the number of cyber attacks during the pandemic prompted us to launch the app. The University was quite confident in this endeavor and supported our journey throughout. We are grateful for the mentorship and guidance provided by the faculty, ”said D. Rahul Shashank, Founder and CEO of Cyber Alert.
